Welcome to the Chick Inn

It's finished.  And it's beautiful.  The guys framed in the chain link panels and filled in the gaps with chicken wire to keep every one safe from predators, and now, it's ready for the chickens to move in.  I'll have to move them tonight once they're sleepy, and easily bent to my will.

All the comforts of home, including eggs in the nest box.

Just add chickens.

  1. So where's the air conditioner? Those girls need help so they can work harder and longer.

  2. Honestly, if I ever decide to open the B&B my husband and I have been talking about for years, I'm going to steal that name (although I probably shouldn't have started my sentence with "honestly" if I'm planning to steal something...).

I'd have a B&B or rental house for girl friend weekends away.

Just have to earn enough to "retire."

  3. Sign us up for the first weekend, Ann. We'll help you get started!

And Ray, the cooler weather has already helped my egg production come up, just in the last day or two. Hallelujah.
