Junque Shopping

Got the early farm chores out of the way and then friend Gail kidnapped me for a fabulous (and overdue) day of Junque Shopping in the small towns within a rock's throw of the farm.  She has some particular places she likes to haunt,  so we hit those, and then found some new ones.  Fortified with sandwiches and snacks, we hit the treasure trail.  Here's a little flavor of our day...

  1. Surprisingly, I showed some restraint this time. I only picked up a few odds and ends. Next time you come to the LRB you'll see them put to use... flour sacks, glass insulators, a wire basket, a couple of small picture frames, an old book.

  2. So where'd ja go? I've totally memorized all the stores in McKinney. I can tell people exactly where to find particular things because I know exactly what booth they are in over there. I need some new browsing grounds. I love that chicken head! I haven't seen that one.

  3. Judith - we went to Hunt County to Quinlan and the Royce City area. Just cruising the country roads and stopping when we saw something cool... It was a wonderful, relaxing day. I should have been working, but sometimes a girl just has to hit the road...
