We met Anela, whose Hawaiian name might have tipped me off that we'd have some common history. Turns out that her mom and I graduated from the same high school in Wahiawa, Hawaii, three years apart, back in the 70's. Can you believe that? What are the odds? Anela teaches hula dancing, if you are in the market for a class, FYI.

It was so blinking hot today, that I was not operating at full power, and my photo collection is pretty sketchy. But we really had fun. And I sent off some great stuff into the fiber world to bring more joy to the new owners: yarn, fiber, books, magazines, curios, three spinning wheels, one loom, and more. There's still some stuff left, so if you have an interest, let me know and we'll have a private showing in the AC coolness of the Little Red Barn. One item that didn't get much press is my Singer Bulky Knitting Machine that comes with lots of accessories. Would love to get that pretty thing back in circulation. Let me know if you'd like more info on that...

That's my idea of a great summer Saturday.
